I am still trying to get my head around the car iPod combo. My car has full connectivity and the dash screen becomes an iPod. The files are read rather than a cassette with a wire hanging out of it, then a weird but crap belkin radio transmitter thing you tuned into.

This was all to keep the kids happy on our weekly long journeys.

Technology is amazing.

No crap radio transmitter or cassette with a wire hanging from it was harmed in the making of this thread. The cassette adaptors involved had either bluetooth built in or an sd card reader.

This is not 1998...

With the sd card cassette, one could fit a small elecricity generator powered by the take up spool drive so no power source is needed.
