Batavus HunterPro

Superb... very nice for sharing that. It looks very similar, but in aluminium.

half e-stay here from Corratec, the Grand Bow in alluminium - but later than Batavus & Battaglin - from 1997 ! Guess a very unique feature of a bike in those years

You were after it too?

Well, I was interested as it is a larger sized bike and very interesting for it's rarity.

I didn't do my best I must confess, saw some familiar bidders and as for that I didnt push it.

At last it's in some good hands in your collection.

cheers,
Martin

Two weeks ago I acquired a Batavus Hunter with Shimano Deore DX. It has a traditional diamond frame. I think it is one or two years earlier that the Hunter Pro in this thread. I am currently cleaning it and I hope I can put it back together soon. It will be my rider.

The 'new' Hunter has the same carbon post and bar as this Hunter Pro. The bar is ridiculously light.

Nice one Mel! never seen this thread before... And waiting for the other one!

About 1/2 e-stay - Biria had one in offer, also Schauff, both cro-moly Also I've seen in web some carbon-fiber monocue frame with 1/2 estay - C4? And quite modern Trek...

Some links:

https://team29er.pl/images/stories/news ... Wrociu.jpg - that's regular Biria estay, but can't find any photo in web Semi estay was in the same painting, just with one leg lower
Hope that helps

Thanks ...and thanks for posting the links, Marcin. They look interesting. I would think that Batavus outsourced this frame, so possibly one day I will encounter one indentical but with different decals.

Marcin, that Shauff under the first link comes very close. Headtube looks more oversized, but that is about it.

The second is nice as well.
