Anyone tried offroad video apps for smart turbo trainers?

Have never had much interest in using indoor cycling trainers. However, after a knee op I did briefly look at the ‘smart turbo trainers’ linked to interactive apps, but they appeared to be aimed very much at the roadies. Lately, there appears to be a few interactive turbo trainer apps catering for offroad interest. An interactive setup is somewhat too expensive at about £2000, but I am still interested in comments from anyone who has used the interactive offroad version.

Re:

Could you use a smart trainer and something like the Elite Sterzo steering controller to give cheaper interactive training? Zwift has some off-road sections that use the steering to make things a bit more interesting. I’m not sure how much distance you could put in solely ‘off-road’ though.
