Anyone like Capri's ?

Top work fellah  You'll need to bring it along soon. Carpark in the sky, ideal capri photo spot :D

that is a nice car. my mum had a brand new 2.8 for a year or so when I was a kid... my dad was sales director at a ford dealer for 30+ years so i've seen my share of cool fords in my time :)

Pleased to see the car has some fans :D , i grew up around Capri's
so keep returning to them, i think they have shed their dodgy image
now and are now regarded as the classic cars that they are.

The handling can be sketchy especially on big motored ones like this
but can be made to handle well with mods to the suspension and decent tyres but i've driven far worse unpredictable handling cars then the Capri (80's Porsche 911 being one, those just let go  , with the Capri you get plenty of warning )

Yeah Kaiser, the bike will soon be getting slung into the back of it  .

my dad had ,i think it was a 1.6 or a 1.8 laser,he sold it to my unc mike who [during a high speed accident] put it under and through a leyland-daf articulated truck, took the roof clean off [he hit it at ,he reckons about 85 mph ]in the darkness of a B-class road near derby bout 8 or ten years ago
The cops said ,if it had been anything other than a capri with its low bonnet it would have stuck and probably killed the three people in it
My uncle ,cousin + his mate had a couple of seconds to prepare for it going under, still received very bad injuries but survived

I love the capri
:D :D :D

it never seemed to have the same rep that the mrk1 escort or the mrk 3 cortina, even though it looks,by far the best looking design of that era

I really must resist - so tempting to start looking another one! But I want to do it properly next time, which means waiting until I've got space for another car in the garage. Don't fancy another engine swap on the drive, & I will do an LS1 mk3...

Have you got any rear axle location improvements fitted? An X-frame really makes them a lot more predictable...
