Anyone have any Milwaukee power tools?

For Christmas we bought the lad a power plane, now we have been trying to register it on the Milwaukee website. For the extended 3 year warranty but, have put the serial number on the plane into the box on the website but it doesn't seem to like it. Has anyone else registered any Milwaukee power tools? thanks in advance

I've never ever registered a product with the manufacturer. Genuine question .... am I missing something?

You generally get 3 years warranty instead of 12 months

I have registered a couple of tools with them within the last year or so and do vaguely recall it unexpectedly being a bit of a pain. Unfortunately I can't remember exactly how it was a pain or what the answer was - only that I succeeded in the end!

Yes, unfortunately your best bet is to call them as the system was set up for the US and some European serial numbers ( as they have to be CE marked) dont fit the automated system. Once i got through to some one it was fine
