Hi all, and thanks in advance. I'll be emailing De Rosa as well but thought Id reach out here too.

After any info I can get really on this...year of manufacture, frame tubeset, etc etc

I have lined up what I believe to be a nice old DE ROSA bike to restore, and lightly use, admire and spend too much money on probably ha ha.

Seller says it was built to order for his father in the 70s by De Rosa and was a prototype, this being number 19 of only 19 made? It only has the number 19 stamped on the BB shell. It certainly appears to be a genuine De Rosa and I'm not fussed if that story is true but I want it to be a genuine bike. Its certainly a one owner from new machine.

It has some nice patographed bits, colour coded seatpost and stem most notable. I think its real but hard to say as the decals just look wrong...no heart, hard to date too without a proper stamp or know what steel tubing its made of. The heart appears in the frame elsewhere so Im not too worried about the decals....

sorry about the links I dont know how to embed the pics

Any thought peeps??

From online research my best guess is 1976-78....going on the brakes and bottom bracket shell. I haven't the foggiest what the tubing is though.
