It's not the spec that I'm being fussy about but the shape

I don't ride much these days and I find that XC race bikes are just too backside up/head down for me to be comfortable. I yearn a return to the days when I could ride a bike like that all day but I have to be realistic that most of my riding will be with my 10 year old son who is more brave than fast.

All the reviews that I can find rate the Giant well as a race bike but reckon that it is not an all day friend.

Just wandering, have the rest of the cable stops/brake mounts been removed?

There should be 2 small metal clamps which locate on the bottle bosses, I have one of these. As far as I can see from the technical docs on the AMP site the disc brake models didn't seem to have the have any other bosses or stops, there is certainly no evidence of stuff having been removed that I can see.
