Very true - materials used make them more susceptible to cracks I guess if too much force is applied.

Roads are abysmal where I am, think that's a common theme unfortunately!

A common problem with the ALAN. As long as they live. In the earlier years there was a life time garantee. In those days a frame of mine did travel to Italia two times. And did came back after a long time. In Italia live goes less fast....
