Can't really assist I'm afraid, I have only ever owned one spring gun, and that was a Whiscombe.

Nothing quite like starting at the top then!

I did a review on one and loved it, the owner said, "oh I've got a spare, would you like to buy it"?

I think most of them end up in the US and Scandinavia. Obviously people there who know what quality is.

Nice - what model is it?

JW50, in black finish with both walnut sporting and FT stocks.

No longer mine; I sold it to a guy in Devon when I packed in shooting.

Air Arms S410.

Period, end of query.

See my Avatar.

I also have a 1981 HW77 which is my trusty springer, currently stripped and ready for restoration and servicing.

Here's one of my other restoration jobs, BSA Airsporter, the stock was stripped, hand cleaned and re finished with 15 coats of Tung oil and beeswax, took 6 weeks to cure and looks better every time I see it:

Update.....snapped up a hw100 today, after a test of my mates last week I was in love.

I went for the normal length version for more shots and a 8-32x56 scope.

After a zero session at the range today, it was pellet on pellet for the rest of the time I was there....ridiculous accuracy.....32yds, 40yds then to 50yds, 5p sized groups.

One of my brothers bought one of these for only $90. We played with it over Christmas-a lot of fun, full auto up to 30 round burst, really shredded the target!

Shame the picture doesn't copy, but bloody americans and their smooth bores, they just don't care what they hit. I've got a break barrel air rifle, BSA Mercury, I like to shoot apples occasionally, just for fun.

I had a s410 for field target and a logun s16 for messing about with. I bought the pump b ut soon got rid of it for a divers bottle.

I'm loving the HW100.....it's ridiculously accurate.

First day at the range i was knocking .22 pellets off a bench at 32yds and 5p groups at 45yds!
