Thanks chap. A definite answer. 1980! I was but a lad of 9 years. All I need for this build are a couple of suitable tyres and I will try and get it in the next road BoTM.

I myself had two Alan's early 1980's. Simular to yours except for the normal alumnium colour. There is no room for a bottle cage. So I think it is an early one. Late 70's I guess.
