A load of balls! - A bearing related query

LOL

Thanks and I have actually read ALL of the grease thread and i am none the wiser afterwards!

grade 10 chrome is the best. You can order these from any bearing supplier. Stainless balls pit more readily than chrome balls (a feature of all stainless steels) but chrome balls need very good grease to keep the water out as they will rust if it gets in.

All I keep is grade 10 chrome and I use rock n roll super web grease - it keeps the water out.

Shaun,

Easy answer - too many!!

And the worst bit - they are all in reasonably poor condition. I made a bit of a boob on ebay recently and bought 6 pairs sorta by accident! Not overly pleased with the condition of them but with a load of work I might be able to use some. This is one pair -

and with some work -

and another pair - before and after -

so I have a lot of work to do! A load of balls is a very apt description!
