Steerer is a healthy 185mm, and yes, they are in good working order and cosmetically excellent too.

Keep tabs on the sales threads, there are always lots of nice bits & bobs at fair prices to help you on your way, though saying that, once you start you will always be buying things you perhaps shouldn't be the joy of retro bikes....
