96 Zaskar Resto...

Hi all. recently got the below Zaskar.

Had a day with the Autosol in the mancave and it's coming up a treat. Only about halfway polished at the moment.

Build will be with period parts and as suggested in another thread, the yellow 3D forks are going to be part of the build. Really tempted to put the correct U brake on the back...

Then after todays work -

Have black fork I will swap you for the yellow one and could even thow in a set of either black and white or yellow/red/blue original 96 decals to sweeten the deal.

A 96 Zaskar wouldn't have had a U brake, it was all V's by then I'm sure.

Correct for what? V brakes were de-rigour in '96, so the XTR looks sweet to me.

He's correct U-brake won't mount on a canti or v-brake boss. The bosses are located in a different location for u-brakes. U-brakes were only on 92 and earlier Zaskars with the exception being the 14.5" frame in 93 also.

MM You are right but they are doing a fine job of propping it up!
