95 Zaskar LE build

Picked this up locally as a full bike with nice but very tired parts.

Chainset was middleburn - cracked , front hub was cracked and it was just very well used

However the frame was dent and crack free and 95 is a rare find nowadays.

Came like this

Frame was wet/dried through the grades by hand and finally polished. I’ve found a nice technique which makes the finish appear like a ball burnished effect rather than a mirror chrome finish.

Decals from retrodecals and frame was good to go.

I was undecided on the build as I planned originally to do this one with M900.

However another upcoming project is going to be M900 so I decided to build this with M950 and 96 build kit inc 217 sunsets which really pop against the BB frame.


This spec may change at some point but currently I like how it looks and the m950 looks better on the frame than M900 being silver.

Very nice result, one of my all time favourite frames. I have a Backwoods waiting in line for a refresh.
