Sorted 700c wheelset

Hi,

I’m after a robust 700c wheelset 100/135mm with a view to using it on a flexible on/off road build of a mid-90s hybrid (trek 730). Ideally looking to fit a shimano 9 speed casette and some quite wise tyres (35-42mm)

It’s my first retro build so going for functionality over appearance or keeping to the original spec.

Thanks

I have two wheels with 700x34c CX tires fitted.
Front is disc specific, rear is rim brake specific.
Used to great effect on/off road on a CX frame with later fork - hence the front disc.

Front is Ritchey OCR
Rear us HED Ardennes

Both bomb proof more or less..
Let me know if they're if interest.
(Could do a disc fork too maybe?)

Thanks for the offer and I like the idea of a disc at the front but the frame I’ve acquired comes with the original (canti) fork. I’m going to stick with that for now

I've got a nice set of 8/9 speed LX 563/565 hubs on Alesa (I think) touring rims that might be of interest. More or less unused since being built in the 90s. Handbuilt, stainless DB spokes, all the good stuff. I'd be after about £150 for them...pics and details to follow if you're interested....

They sound great. Unfortunately I just bought some cheap ones to get me going which seem ok for now. Thanks for the offer and I’ll let you know if they need upgrading!
