I had this bike, from Halfords, CTW. great bike and loved it, served me well.

i now have the updated Boardman MHT8.9 which is also a lovely bike to ride and has better components.

Im looking forward to seeing it compete. It certainly going to be best spec boardman within these pages!

I think Halfords bikes get a bit of a bad rap (or is it wrap?). I keep getting tempted by the Voodoo Bizango - I have my posh full sus 29er (Banshee Prime) but I reckon the bizango would do for the riding i would use it for.

The Boardman’s do get great reviews.

Well to be honest I took the frame thinking it will be something I am going to ride only this season but I am enjoying position on it very, very much. I will eventually get something else, carbon made, but I am in no hurry whatsoever. If the first ride is any sign of how other rides are going to feel this might be permanent keeper even if I get another frame.
