1999 Gary Fisher Kaitai , Finished ! !

Thanks mate ,

Been riding Paola quite a lot . Put some Gripshift SRT 800s on , along with XT M739/751 V-Brakes . It's a great bike , although I may have to put thicker fork oil in as they're a bit bouncy with 7.5w in . Ended up with a shorter stem too , as the top tube is long . Genesis geometry for you . Also got the red Fire tyres on now

BTW, I stopped to swap bottles in the last photo.

Cheers Nick ;) more like bellend !

I'm still as gutted/embarassed/frustrated at my race as you are about the Manitou, seriously.

congrats Mike for that great ride

Thanks Martin, sadly, I only did four laps on the bike before my legs turned to sh-t! But I DID do them really fast!

Swapped the X-RAYS and Manitous for ESP 9.0sl and SID forks for the race. And Ritchey WCS post, headset and stem. Oh, and the wheels are also different Bonty ones. As well as a Sram cassette and Avid brakes. Saved around 1.5kg with that set up, just over 10kg now. The bike will be staying like that, although I may try some Gore gear cables when I see some come up. Red saddle back on now too. Other than that, it's ALL the same as the bike at the top of the page!

Re:

Aha!

So you noticed the colour coded socks!

Got a local group ride tomorrow. Plan to ride it then, plus riding to where we're meeting up and back home again!
I'll try to remember the camera. And electrolyte drink

Can't get over how narrow those bars are!

But the bike looks like new.

Glad you enjoyed Mayhem chap. Can't wait for next year!

Narrow

You need to check out his Scott Endorphin :D
That rig looks more like it belongs to a London bike courier
Big Mig here told everyone it was ace as the steering was precise...
Geezers either got big balls, bounces well ....or is soft in the head

Its a twitchy as hell, but looks way cool

I'm sure theres a pic of it on the Mayhem aftermath tread

Yep I'm confusing two threads! Endorphin ones were mental

As we were then ignore me!

Re:

You mean these?

Well I like them, can get past people with impossibly bright shoes quite easily, without hurting my eyes too much!
Got an e-mail from MM team today, asking me to show interest in next years event!
Nothing twitchy about 530mm bars/2.1 tyre set up Spud ;)
