1998 (?) Marin Muirwoods

Retro Newbie
I've owned this Muirwoods from new, about 1998, but for many years now have just used it as a hack bike.
The frame is tatty, commensurate with age, and the front sus is seized. The front mech also needs replacing.
The stem, bars, seat pin, brakes and brake levers are original.
I'm now thinking of disposing of this bike and am wondering whether there is a market for it in the retro bike world?
If so, any suggestions as to a ball park figure as to what I should ask would be greatly appreciated. IMG_20220613_123941.jpg

Any indication as to whether it has any 'retro' value would be appreciated, as I'm unsure whether to sell this and get a new gravel / adventure touring bike, or, if this is of negligible value, I might stick with it. After All, it has a decent cromoly frame.

Hi, probably not worth a great deal - especially with the issues you describe, mismatched and low end components.. Agree that the steel frame is a good base for a dependable and decent riding project bike though.

I paid £80 for one that’s pretty much original and mint, that was a couple of years ago when prices were a bit silly. A great bike for the price though.
