I thought I’d do a separate post for the Cinder cone build, my other thread was getting messy so I apologise in advance for any repeats.
I wanted to do a retro mod build and that’s where this bike came in. Initially I thought this bike was too good and original to do that so I got a Hahanna frame and practiced on that. I absolutely love that bike and whenever I’m out on it people make positive comments about it. I have been collecting my teenage dream parts for a build and the Cinder cone is perfect for them.

I have made a start and chopped off the V brake posts and also the front mech cable stop as I intend to only run 1 x The cable stops for the rear mech I’ve also chopped off, I really don’t like the routing so I’ll copy the Hahanna’s frame there too.
The Cinder cone is 500g lighter than the Hahanna on my dodgy Chinese scales, I think a lot of that is from the butting in the top and down tubes. The top tube is probably pretty thin where I would like to have a hose guide so I’m thinking an adhesive one might be the safest bet. It might not cause a problem having a lot of heat in the middle of the top tube but the Explosif frame with rear disc option doesn’t have one so I wonder if they knew best lol 57D0582F-C516-46F9-B503-C7C4009388AB.jpeg E227B6A1-E146-4C5A-980C-A7D16A00A2FB.jpeg E2DA5FAB-E48D-4F1B-9881-9833D32563A6.jpeg 381B1B73-F6BB-49B7-810D-C0C6626C9E35.jpeg 10F39121-DCFC-4326-B93A-6953CD007E98.jpeg 5FF0B979-5B1B-458F-8B39-C5801957E631.jpeg tempImagezEzy3w.png

For some reason that blue makes it look like it’s in an n64 game🤷‍♂️

Looks good👍

I like the way you've done the caliper mount, does away with the brace and should be lighter.

I dont think so, the caliper is acting as a brace spreading the load between the seat and chain stays
