Dirt Disciple
This is my 1996 zaskar le.i bought the frame then spent the last 2 years finding the components.the hubs and rims were hand built by a local builder.i had to wait several months as he was in the process of moving house.the result were well worth the wait.
I'm currently trying to get the forks resprayers but can't find anyone local prepared to take on the small scale job.im also trying to source original stickers for the frame and forks.
Although fitted with a titec ti 118g bar but it was cut down by the previous owner but is so badly crimped and ragged, like it was cut with a blunt butter dish.i found a full length uncut and unsquashe bar from retobiker fattiman.
looking forward to putting final touches on and finally see a fully fitted, fully stickered bike.
Then and only then with the original nos chain fitted will the bike ridden in that condition for the first time in several years.
I hope this will be good enough as is to be nominated for Botm.once completed I will attempt to enter it myself.
Please be kind in your criticisms and kinder with your praises. 20200521_183053.jpg 20230121_091241.jpg 20230121_093833.jpg 20230121_091233.jpg 20220819_065255.jpg 20220819_064018.jpg View attachment 700121

Looks good, I prefer polished aluminium frames without decals.

What are you doing about the wheels? I mean disc hubs and discs on a non disc frame and fork?

Very nice. I don't like flashy Zaskars, this has real potential for a proper stealth build while keeping it a bit classy, the xtr you've got on there is already pretty stealthy. Love the Kore, I remember when nobody wanted Kore and it went for chip money.

I have some widgets that allow cable disc and hubs to be used together.had to create a front clamp from an old fork leg.never fitted chain so still not tested.
Looking to have the judy fork resprayed but struggling to find local shop.also be decals for it and the frame too.may start a new braking trend or kill meself head over bars tumble.time will tell.
Cheers for the post.

Have you rebuilt the Judy?
I bought it rebuilt including an alternate soft set of springs and rubbers.i replaced all the steel bolts including brake pins with titanium.
Struggling to find local resprayers prepared to do so small a job.any recommendations welcome.
Cheers tony
