1992 Rocky Mountain Cirrus (First Post)

I thought the early Rockys used the Helvetican Neue font?

There is something about these e-stay bikes that I find very cool.

Re:

Thanks.

A friend of mine found this: http://www.brandsoftheworld.com/logo/rocky-mountain but I don't think there is any of the text. I'll let you know if I find anything (or he does).

Thanks. You don't happen to have actual fonts or anything that you used to create some of your work? Or was it all done by hand?

combination of both.

i used Helvetica Neue as the base font and tweak it.

early 2000 RM font is Werkman Round, which again requires tweaking.

Thanks RockiMtn - I replied before I looked at the next post. That could be everything I need.

Re:

So have to thank you guys again... really riding a lot this year and this forum got me to call a friend of mine I haven't seen in 14 years! We haven't ridden together in longer... He and I always had an interesting rivalry as he was all about full-suspension and I was hard-tail all the way. Funny now because as we are both "old men" ;) I feel that this is my life choice and I'll never give in to the temptations of full suspension.

Anyway, he was on an older bike, a Klein Mantra, but he couldn't place the year. These seem to date back to 1997... though he thinks he bought it in 2000. Is this something that would fit in the forums or is it too new?

Depends on the year. According to this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Klein_Bikes

Mantra seems to span from 96 to 01. There's always the post 97 section of the forums. ;)

BTW, as for your decals, if they aren't too shabby I would just leave them and not bother replacing unless you are planning on doing a full restoration of it. Nothing beats the originals especially with the history that goes along with it. Can't really tell from your photos, but they don't look too bad.

Thanks. Yeah I'm pretty happy with the decals just a few places where I took some hard knocks and they've warn out. I'm going to get my buddy to make me up a new Syncros decal and I think I'll pull off the old SPD and Syncros I have, plus an old Oakley one on the other side that's mostly gone anyway. Also ordered some anodized parts (minor parts like presto valve stem caps and crank dust covers) to add a 'little' flair but not go over the top.

I'll try the post '97 forums with the Klein, and thanks for the link!
