Hi all, just a quick post showing my Kona that I’ve just finished.
Picked it up a week or so ago off of the original owner. The condition of the bike suggested it’d been used as intended over the years and then parked up and unused for a good while.
I’ve stripped it right down and then greased and reassembled everything. I’ve upgraded the mix and match components with a full Mountain LX groupset including biopace chainrings. Some wider bars, foam grips and gum wall tyres from the spares bin found their way on too.
I decided to re-touch the black paintwork rather than going for a full respray, I know you can get re-pop decals but, they’re only original once right?
She rides real nice, not sure whether to keep it for winter use and hacking about - I’ve stuck it on Gumtree so we’ll see (I have another winter bike to finish...)
