Is that a 1 1/8 inch control stem clamped to an adapter? I'm not getting that headset and stem on that frame? Why not a threaded stem? Expand on that, would ya Steve?

No mystery dude, it's a 1" CK Aheadset, and a 1" Ahead Control tech stem, yep, they come in 1". As to why it's that way, you'd have to ask the previous owner. I quite like it though, guess I'm not a purist!
