Hey folks,
Thinking of thinning down the collection and the bike I use the least is my 1991 Bear Valley in charcoal zolatone.
I've owned for a few years and have gradually collected a few "catalogue-correct" and period correct parts for it.
Standard parts:
Marin ProCombo tyres
Marin saddle
Wheels - Araya CV7/Deore LX hubs.
Upgraded parts:
Deore LX STI
Deore DX wide profile cantilever brakes
Exage 500LX rear mech
Retrobike sticker
Zolatone is in great shape....a few minor scuffs and rust spots. Worst of which is a dent/paint loss on one rear stay. Majority of the decals have been replaced and all parts have been stripped, cleaned, regreased & serviced (headset/hub bearings/bottom bracket replaced).
Just needs a tweaking/setup session and she'll be good to go.
Just wondered what people thought she was worth.....might help to make up my mind as to whether to sell or not.
