Retro Newbie
Looking to sell my 1991 Diamondback Axis XT. One owner from new until I purchased it in 2015, and I have since had it fully serviced.

£120 O.N.O.

Main reason for selling is that its a medium - large frame and I am 6 ft 5, so nostalgia ruled my original decision rather than practicality!!

Service in 2015 included; New chain, some new Aztec pads (rear), new gear cables, wheels trued, cassette and indexing serviced, headset serviced.

Frame Size:

Seat Post - 19.5 inches (centre BB to top)
Top Tube - 23 inches
Chainstay - 16.5 inches
Standover height - 31 inches

Retains all the original Shimano kit.

Retailed for c.£600 back in 1991 and was one of the best MTB's on the market.

Seriously interested parties are welcome to inspect the bike prior to buying. Based between York and Leeds.

Collection only (May consider delivery within 30 miles).

Do you happen to remember the stem and the seatpost size? Could it be that they were 25.4 and 27.2 respectively? Any info is appreciated.

My Axis back in the day (92 i think it was) took a 30.0 seatpost, or at least that's what the LBS fitted (Zoom), still have it in the garage.
