Good spot, I searched for the Pikes Peak on the down tube and found this.

Surely should be Uno on the top tube and not Quattro though?

Hadn’t realised that an Audi S2 was £30k in 1990! A lot of money for a motor back then!

When the bike was released in 1989 there was no Audi S2 in sight. Some anecdotal evidence even suggests it was mandatory to buy a new Audi quattro (the so-called Ur-Quattro), before you were entitled to order the quattro Pikes Peak titanium mountain bike (officially no Audi) for additionally 8.000 DM, after overindulding in a then current Audi quattro 20V for the mere sum of 110.000 DM.
