1988 Giant Escaper

That's gorgeous. I can remember seeing one in a local bike shop, prior to seeing the escaper the only other mountain bike I'd seen was a raleigh bomber (ha ha ha ha Raleigh Bomber a mountain bike !) I seem to remember them selling for about £450 - 500 quid. My dad bought the Sierra, I've still got that but it's nothing like as nice as the escaper. Good luck with the sale.

Lack of space forces me to sell of some bikes. After the Scott pro, the second bike for sale is this nice 1988 Giant Escaper. I think it was the second year Giant brought out MTB's on under their own name and the first year in Europe. Fully original except for the grips , chain, cassette and derailleur wheels. MT-60 grouppo including the very nice satin silver finish of the stem and handlebar. Araya very wide rims and Joytech high flange hubs. Frame has many lacquer repairs, but no dents and it actually adds to history of the bike. Size is 55cm seattube (c-t) and 58cm toptube (c-c). Asking 100 Euros and no splitting. Sending to the UK will be problematic, I guess.

Hi Senri. if you are still here... I had this bike. I rode it all over Europe. I got hospitalised once on it, and someone in the hospital, nicked it. Sad sad day. Loved it. Now I am searching for images just to see what the geometry and set up was. Did you sell it in the US?
