Re:

What a thread!

Could I see a photo of your 1984 Roberts?

I have an 84 Roberts Commissioned and Designed (in part) by 'ON yer Bike, London Bridge. It has level top tube, lugs, and rising angle to the BB, or rise to approx 14.5", above the plane of the axles.

Rob at On yer BIke, was unable to source the " new atb's so had Roberts build 5 for them. They were branded in the shop as 'Renegade'

1984, a great year, so good it sounds like the title of a book.

I am soon to commence photographing/logging my collection on Dekerf and Bontrager bikes/frames, is there any interest in detail of the Renegade? Please PM

Re:

I am grateful for pic of Roberts.

Beautiful bike, Roberts' place in the evolution of ATB's is assured of legendary status.
Your bike is more sophisticated than the more agricultural appearance of the Renegade.

Can you confirm the angle of the top tube? How far from horizontal does it lie?

Many thanks for your assistance and inspiration.
