1972 Raleigh Professional Mark IV

It's astonishing how many of these are available in the U.S.... surely this and the International were produced in greater numbers than anything Carlton made. Most of the Pros are indeed in these huge sizes, too. And most in remarkable condition. They were mostly bought on a whim during the Bike Boom in America in the early '70s and probably ridden around the block four times! Mine has the original toestraps and had one original tyre when I bought it.

I just bought a 57cm frameset in blue from the US. I think the next size up may have been slightly too large as the top tube sits higher than a traditional road bike it is flush with the top of the seat lug plus the higher bottom bracket height pushes the top tube up a little higher.
