One of my absolute dream bikes is a Pro Comp XT with a u-brake, like in the 1989 catalogue. Alas I think this was catalogue spec only and by the time the bikes were shipped to dealers they all had cantilevers. So one day I’d like to build my own version 😄

Hi all - wanted: 1 inch quill stem with 115-120mm reach (centre to centre) with a built-in brake cable guide (i.e. internal routing / roller / etc). (22.2mm diameter quill to fit steerer tube and with 25.4mm handlebar clamp) Ideally black. Thanks

For a more left field option there is USE. 92-94 era. Cool posts but up to you if it fits or not with the build theme/mix of parts.

Great spec, lush colour scheme and it is wonderful to hear how good the ride experience is. Like having a brand new bike! It looks so good with those straight forks.

No, would still like a HH though… ideally a 1993 19 inch. They come up for sale all the time so I won’t have to wait long 😂

Wow, that is very cool. So many details to take in. At first I saw the stem and bar colour and thought - no. But now I like it. I would personally go with a black saddle as it’s a bit more subdued colour, but the blue is also ok - it ties in with the blue on the bars.

Tough choices already !
