OK I think my rc 100 is an 89, judging by the front mech, has and date code of 89 on it and is a odd band on thing. Has 2 bolts for the chain guard frame number rc 0120
looks like it may turn into a project, boss is going to 3d print some hose guides on his new 3d printer, peddles have come out of the cranks without any issues, and going to start looking for some parts in the garage. I'm not to fussed if its totally period correct but would like to ride it...
bearing in bb spin well and i havnt tried to preload lh crank so no idea if there will be any play but as it is there is a tiny bit of play, pedals spin well, the lh crank had a hole drilled trough it by previous owner who put a pin in it. but this can be spot welded and ground back when cranks...
Cool bike mate I remember when these came out got reasonable reviews in mbuk. It's an odd one what people decide is worth collecting. I think people over look what at the time of introduction would have been considered budget.

I removed the lh bearing carefully. I thought there would be some sort of split ring to keep it in place but nothing. So what's to stop them moving about?. There is nothing on the lh crank of mine e to preloaded the bearings or stop the lh side coming off. Have you got a photo of that?
Many thanks but the ones I have are 2 peine ones like shimano hollow tech. The bearings press into the pace bb she'll. I'm not sure if it's ment to have spacers and how many bearing are ment to be in there.
