My first 'contribution' other than buying and selling  Thoughts and comments welcome as I'm still working on the overall 'look' :?

Like I could swap the silver bars for some nice black Taperlites I have?
XTR chainset or Middleburn with silver arms, black spider and silver rings/black bolts?

Bought the bike a few weeks back from 'meeeee' on the forum - cheers

As it was...

I stripped it down and gave it a good clean and polish and fitted a new headset...

I'd been aquiring parts for a while and got most of the assembly done...

The XTR chainset and BB arrived so I fitted those and finished off with cables and the chain...

Kona

Looks stunning, always think they look fast with the P2 forks, would look good with the Forks sprayed in the same colour as the frame?

Trim the neck you've created on the forks and put the stem where it should be.

If you need it higher then get new stem with some degree of rise and/or risers (shudders ;))

it just looks a bit silly...
Sorry that's my first impression apart from the front mech cable from the bars looks a bit long.

Over all liking the bike, and I think I prefer it with the RaceFace (?) crank arms on (though not the rings)

What's it riding like ?

Thanks :)
I had thought of a metallic grey for the forks

Yes, it is a bit 'necky' but I do need (due to various health probs) to have the front a lot higher than I used to :( I do have a higher rise stem I might try, but I didn't really want to cut the steerer, we'll see! I'm not keen on fitting riser bars either ;)

Lovely job...

But - your rear mech shouldn't be lower spec than the chainset, its the law!!!!

Thanks very much

I agree :) Currently looking for a M950 rear

Cheers
