i'd like to start by saying hey all!

i've only got a few posts but i figured i'd show you guys the stuff i like to collect.

i currently only have one bike. one bike that does it all.

these are the spares from the first box.......also, none of this is for sale as it will get put to use.....if the current parts ever fail that is......

so far, no problems with the current parts as most are all original from about 1997....i haven't needed to replace anything yet.....

this was a recent part that come from a syncros dealer in illinois. this has no logo yet....which could mean it wasn't finsihed or was one of the last sets....but it does have the serial number.....

i have more but it's in another of the boxes like this one and a bit hard to get to. in that one i have spare posts, stems, more bottom bracket parts, cranksets, bolts, chainrings, QRs, catalogs, and a few other odd things.....

i'll try to post tomorrow if i can get the box out......

this is the bike that these are spares for.....97 litespeed obed. i took advantage of the fact that they only charged $200 extra for a custom fit. so this has a 1" shorter top tube, a half inch shorter front center (center of front hub to center of bottom bracket), and a 1" shorter wheel base.

so this ended up a very agile bike. 20.8 with somewhat heavy tires and standard tubes.

thanks for looking and any comments welcome......

:D WoW what a collection of fine kit. What make of rigid forks?
Plus naughty shouldn't really go big chain ring to big spocket
Nice bike :D

  Amazing, but somehow I don't think you'll need all those spares....(ever broke any Syncros parts...????)....so you can sell some to me ;) ;)

Cool collection though, seriously.

I love the little touches on that bike, they make it look really good :D

Those forks are sooooooo sexy

That is one beautiful bike - that shorter agile set-up is just my cup of tea  .

I want it

Good quality photographs to do it some justice too....

et al...thanks.....

as for the headset spacers, i wanted something to bring out the WCS stripes on the decal and headbadge......

and yes, i need all those spacers......the pic was taken from down low so it looks as if the bars are level with the seat....they are about 3cm lower.

i never liked chopping the steerers very short...never seemed very practical.

i'll try to post pics from the other boxes next week.

tintin40.....the fork is from Vanilla Bicycles and the owner Sacha White (with a C not an S) is a VERY talented individual (i think he turned 30 this year)....

http://www.vanillabicycles.com/

the web site doesn't currently show mountain bikes but he does build them.

i'm waiting for two bikes from him....and although i placed the order in 2005....every single bike i've seen _in person_ is simply amazing.

pics from the NAHBS show in 07 and 08....

neilll.....no syncros parts broken yet. the ones on that bike have been on there since 97.

hehehehe

Andy R.......two of my favorite trails are tight and technical.....so i built the bike for where i ride the most.

although this bike did make it up to the North Shore of Canada....and while i didn't ride everything there.....it did make riding those trails a LOT easier.....
