Morning! My favourite fork is the RC30 and I've been considering having a titanium copy made for a while. It's going to cost quite a bit to have one made so I thought if I get a batch made it'd bring the cost down.
If I do this will I be in breach of copyright? Or will the fact that they don't make them any more, there was always similar forks out there, it won't be made of the same material and it won't be Identical negate any legal issues?
We've seen copies of various iconic retro parts over years so I'm hoping it won't be an issue as if and when I manage to get this done the beauty of them is (other than the fact they're beautiful) that the drop outs and crown are a standard and if rather than welding the brake mounts on I had some nice CNC'd brake mounts made which clamp on, mounts for rim or disk and various leg lengths made they could be fitted to any bike!
Right so now I'm waffling, what do you think?
