And today I did......

The frame of the Pantera is a 22 incher so you might find it a bit big.
Sure to be a good fit for mikee then!

No worries, not really looking for any gear, just a frame to create a bitsa out of... I've got enough junk lieing about to build up a spare bike now (damn you retrobike, shakes fist) - if you've got an old frame that might do the trick, great, if not you can have it to mutilate to your hearts content.

i can throw a 21" gt backwoods frame into this
its a 93 in a fetching shade of maroon orig decals still in place too

wh could do a swap meet at blairmudam

Frames I do still have that I can bear to be rid of are a Trek Y-3 18" and a Dahon Matrix 19". The trek would be similar priced to the pantera but URT suspension frames are not everyones cup of tea. I think it unlikely I'd build the Trek in the foreseeable future thus its just taking up space gathering dust

Could you not do a carbon wrap on the giant frame? make it road useable, a pro could do a decent taper.

Performance Carbon in west lothian is run by an old mate, he could have a look although his website is way out of date and I don't know how to contact him. He does specialist moldings for motor bikes mainly, especially ducati's. I think he is out bathgate way.

If you're happy to part with the Y-3 let me know what you want with it. Time to try sus again methinks.

Bring it along to Blairadam on Sunday? I'll be there!

I'll do that, Y-3 need a rear shock, but rear triangle has a canti mount if you'd like to try a period build and I can bring along those Marzocchi Bomber Z3's with the cant hanger I've got as well as I cant see myself using them either now. I want much less bikes, the sheer number I have has started to do my head in

I'll pm you with potential costs ZZ

Shocks pretty standard 165mm but the width between the eyelets is noticeably narrower on the frame than on the swing arm so bushing spacers would also be useful.
