Here's my three to start the ball rolling

Firstly a '98 STS-DS 1000 that has a Black Anodised rear end and an interesting Fox Float. This appears to have been modified by PUSH Industries and given a threaded outer casing to fit the trunion mount. I have sent PUSH an email just to confirm whether it was actually them that carried out this modification. Still waiting on the reply though :( Hopefully they still carry out such mods and can give me a current price.

1998 STS-DH Lobo

1999 STS-XCR 1000

You have all three of my dream bikes
I am very envious indeed.

The main reason I quoted this post though was that my LTS XR-1000 frame came with the same FOX shock, albeit I never had the PUSH sticker on it. The FOX livery has always looked a bit worn though, as if maybe a sticker was removed from over the top? I can't find the shock as it looks anywhere on the FOX website but I assumed that they probably hadn't made very many and so didn't really care. I bought a seal replacement kit that was supposedly for these models but the o rings inside my unit didn't match -any- that were sent in the kit so I ended up with a $20 pouch of lubricant. Did you ever manage to find out about it as, if I could fix it, I'd be a happy man.

I only have one at the moment :( and thats not built but is just sitting quietly waiting for the time to be unleashed again

I did contact PUSH but they do NOT currently do this modification. They did, they think  in the last century but have no official records.

Personally I would suggest either getting a full refurb done on the existing one, look here

http://www.tftunedshox.com/service/fox.aspx

or keep a look out for either a Coupe or Super Deluxe. These do regularly appear on ebay and a few other websites. There seem to be NOS ones coming up quite often BUT the price can vary from ridiculously low to stupidly high.

Other than ebay these three sites did offer these shocks for sale until quite recently

MILWAUKEE BICYCLE Co http://www.benscycle.net - various suspension parts
BETD http://www.mountainbikecomponents.co.uk/ -suspension parts and bearing upgrades
ICYCLESUSA http://www.icyclesusa.com/ Trunion shocks Coupe and Super Deluxe and Lobo Pull Shocks

My advice is to grab them whilst you can. Without the shock these frame are nothing but scrap. I've no doubt that these will get rarer over the next few years as LTS / STS owners start to hoard. I have two spares, a Coupe and a Super neither of which are for sale unfortunately.

You might also want to keep a look out on Pinkbike, Southern Downhill and STW as I have seen them on there

I have a coupe deluxe but the spring doesn't appear to be strong enough for me... either that or I'm doing it wrong...

Decided to mod the STS and make a bracket for a normal Fox Float RP shock.

Still needs a bit of work, but so far so good :)

Won't that swing back and forth? :?
I thought shocks were very available too. I'm pretty sure BETD do them. Might have to scroll back to page 1 to check though..

{Black rear end. Is that Gadro's old ride? He won't be amused his bike is now a science project! :LOL: }

That kinda looks like it might just be two bits of steel bar...
... is that because it IS just two bits of steel bar, by any chance? :D

Is that going to be secure?
