Anybody identify this bike?

Can anybody tell me what this is? What is it made of, what kit does it have on it?

It's a raleigh Technium (the US version of a dynatech), looks like it's got LX on it, and it's made of bonded aluminium (or aluminum as it is american)

There were Techniums in UK too. I thought they just predated the dinnertek?

Yep, bonded ali frame. Has little rings around the tubes were joins are.

Definately available in the UK, but they were made by Raleigh USA rather than our own raleigh Nottingham, very similar to the old Reflex brand bikes

Looks like a Raleigh Chill. The stays and lugs (blue painted stuff) is cro-moly steel which is bonded to aluminum (or should I say aluminium??) main tubes. Second to top bike with the Peak being the better bike with XT parts. Going strictly from memory, circa 1991 +/-. We actually took one in trade not too long ago and one of the local guys bought it to ride around town and was in the shop today with it.
