29.4mm clamp - WHERE!!!!

Mark_h4dng

You could buy a 28.6 clamp, and get it Machined out to the size you need. 29.4 is only another 0.8 Dia bigger and wouldn't weaken it very much.

Or get a 30mm and use a bit of coke can, or be really classy and use a jubilee clip (although that may limit the quick release potential a bit). Suppose we should remember it is a Sunn bike and like all things French it has to be a little different!

. . . . . There are three standard sizes for seat post clamps and these correspond exactly with the 3 sizes of front mech: 28.6, 31.8 and 34.9mm

The only odd one is the 30mm clamp that is used on some carbon frames.

Klein attitudes, adroits, mantra and some road frames take a 36.4mm clamp, which Hopeâ„¢ and a few others make.

Yep, agree this is the best route.

UK distributed Budweiser can (print sanded off) = 0.13mm thick.

Two full wraps of this would bring you within tolerance.

Well if you have to buy one of those Kleins that needs a seat post clamp then it's your own fault that you have to source a bizarre clamp

36.4mm is fairly easy to source, like I say Hope make one, so do KNC, my local bike shop carries Trek made ones.
