Hiya,

I just picked this up for pennies and cant believe my luck.

The old boy that I bought it from was a bit choked to sell as he has owned it from new but simply cant ride it anymore.

What do you think?

I dont quite know what to do with it as I keep meaning to build a fixie and this would be perfect but at the moment cant bring myself to start stripping it down.

Please, give it to someone (not a trader/dealer) who will appreciate the bike for what it is.

That's great if you do!

I suggest keeping the bike as it is; it probably just needs a good clean and polish.

While it's not in good condition, that's really quite old and has a lot of original bits.

It won't be that straightforward to convert to a fixie, you'll have to cold set the frame and file bits away to fit modern hubs. Plus it's got 26x 1 1/4 wheels, which you'll struggle to find; 700c might fit, but you will have clearance issues.

Really, if you want a fixie, I wouldn't start from here. I'm sure you could sell it or swap it for a bike that was already converted and would be better anyway.
