So what happens at 12.01am new years day? Do 1998 bikes suddenly become 'officially' retro.........? 
Not sure why anyone would think that a 98 bike would suddenly become retro.
It has been stressed that retro definititon cannot be determined by year. As such, its just a differentiator for bike pics.
Obviously as time goes by, there may be more people and more interest in post 98 bikes.
