well, probably not. not for long anyways.
I'm pretty much skint this month but when a 25 euro rocky mountain hammer popped up on my laptop screen I naturally had to buy it and it was only a 15 minute drive.
the bike was fully covered with dust, cleaning it felt like unwrapping a christmas gift :xmas-big-grin: it's always a surprise what will uncover. the frame turned out to be in really good shape, only the fork has a few ugly scratches.
most of the bearings are gone, I think only the headset might have survived. the rims are worn out and the gripshifts felt worse then I'd imagined.
since I've got no money to spend I will try to use only parts from the shed.
2nd pic is how I got it, 1st how it looks right now.

It had most stock components: suntourc xc ltd groupset, gripshifters, rm bar/stem and saddle, kalloy seatpost, ritchey megabite front tire.
the gripshifts got upgraded with xt thumbies, saddle is a ritchey vector for now and the wheelset will be replaced by deore lx hubs with black ritchey rims.
I will keep most suntour parts on the bike to keep it's original looks and I really like the brakes/levers.

Are they suntour pedersen brakes? Like to try those. That Koga in the backround looks quite nice too!

Yes, they are suntours version but suntour only made those for the rear brakes. Sjs cycles sells these nos for 5 pounds ;). Thank you, The koga is pretty nice indeed it is my favorite retro ride (right now)

You should, paired with Scott Matthauser blocks they are fiercer than Magura's !! (I've got the Scott version with front's as well)

I see that you got a Ridge Runner in the background on one of your photos. Would you mind sharing pictures of that Koga Miyata or feel free to start another dedicated thread.
Am sure it will garnish a lot of interest.
