Kona model id using serial number is it possible?

Hi,

I'm about to take delivery of what I believe to be an early 90's Kona cinder cone, however I can't find an example in the catalogues with the same paintjob or the same kit (it's got practically complete Suntour XC pro).

So I'm idly wondering if it's had a respray at some point?, will I be able to identify the model using the bikes serial number?.

You will get an idea of year and on top end possibly a model, but pictures work well to.

But the real answer is not the model.

Thanks for the replies, i'll post a couple of pictures when it arrives, it has an unusual (for Kona) rear brake cable stop which I guess might explain the possible respray?. Cheers Matt
