Here is my 1996 Orange P7.....

This is my 3rd! The first and second didn't make the grade. It is so hard to find a rust-free, unabused P7 but I managed to find a good example.

It is surprisingly light for a steel bike. It really does go! I can see why they were given such good reviews. I nearly purchased one around 20 years ago when it won best bike under a grand (it was £999 at the time).

Spec is as follows:

17.5" P7 Frame
Pace RC35 Forks
XT 737 Rear Hub and Ringle Front Hub laced on Mavic SBP230 Rims with Charge Splashbacks (new)
XT 737 Shifters
XT 737 Chainset
XT 737 Front Mech
XTR 910 Rear Mech
Magura Hydraulics (new)
Flite Titanium Saddle
Original Orange Bars, Stem and Seat Post

The bike rides so well. The Pace forks are by far the best I have ever owed. These ones work perfectly unlike a few I've had in the past. The Maguras are brand new and 'feel' better than any other brake I've had before (including current Hope Techs and Avid Ultimates!).

I do have matching XT 737 levers, V-brakes, front hub and rear mech. If I wanted it as more of a show bike I'd put these on but this was built for riding.
