Tis a very nice bike indeed. AFAIK Campag did not make any long seatposts other than those from the mtb groupsets Euclid and Centuar.
 
Given the history I think it is nice to keep ths together.

When I brought the pinarello I promised to do the same and I would have felt bad stripping it once I had promised to do that.
 
I wouldn't worry too much about it being full C-Record... C-Record was not better than Chorus anyway.
I have a Super Record bike, but the hubs are not Super Record and the BB is not Super Record... have I lost my sleep over the past 33 years over it? Not really... they are still top notch components that have done tens of thousands of miles
