I emailed the guy to tell him he was missing the decimal after '25'. He confirmed the price is correct in the ad. :facepalm:

For real $2500?! I think its an error and $250....but call and confirm! I want to know if they are serious!

It wasn't a typo. That's what I thought too. He confirmed the price is $2500.00.

I actually exchanged 4 or 5 emails with the seller last night... I was very polite, but really tried to express my complete and utter disbelief in his asking price.

He made the ever-famous comment 'they're going for twice that on eBay'... which almost knocked me out of my seat. Just the hubris of it, really. Like I'm too dumb to look on eBay or something?!?

So I went on the ol' bay, and sure enough our old friends at BBCbikes have one up for about $1500. Not $5000, but still a stupid enough price that it might as well be 5 million.

I don't think there's a person on the planet that would pay the cost to ship one of those pieces of shi#.

In any event, the retro wasteland of Atlanta continues. I miss the west coast and Toronto!
