50 miles down the road is a different matter though - snowblowers still trying to relieve Kintyre which remains cut off due to huge drifts :xmas-big-grin:

Ha! I am the friendly windermere bike mechanic..!
Cheers for the heads up on the forum - have since spent a lot of time looking about, and have discovered that another of my old bikes seems to be rare - a yellow and blue raleigh 'team' mtb. I'd not realised it was special! Am in the process of tracking down all the bits, currently one set of cantis short, but many boxes left to go through.. The bane and boon of a barn to store stuff in..

Welcome Jamesb,
I had a Raleigh MTB Team in blue and yellow for a bit, the Reynolds 531 version which is the most desireable. There was a Reynolds 501 and High Tensile steel version aswell though so check your tubing.
Again thanks for fixing my bike, after that all I had to contend with was snow :D
