I do like the theory and the basicness of it but with a stove I'd settle for convenience. I got one of these for chrimbo

The guy I was rising with on Saturday was telling me about coke can versions, started to get pretty good at knocking them out and is on the hunt for an alleged imported beer that has a thicker alu can.

Gmac you'd be as well to make your self one 'o' them drinks can spirit burner (cost 70p'ish) :)
Or have a rake in a bucket for free.

for any longer day out in more remote area would recommend an emergency blanket and the obvious first aid kit

dinna do any hill walking without them.
