1990 team frames were 2070 but wishbone seatstays as per 1991 catalogue
It must be very early & rare '91 Team frame as 2 others I've seen were 2080 (see video in my post above) before adopting XMT100 metal matrix for 1992.

After a bit of sanding and gentle pursuasion, it has been found that it isn't too bad.
The stays have a sleeve in them and straightening the RH one wasn't too hard.
So fixing it is relatively easy.
Now paint....................

Given the extent of the damage. the cracks were V"d out and built up with twice the thickness of weld to retain strength and then ground back.
Its not the perfect solution but the only other option is to replace the tubes. This would be a massive cost, and the damage sustained during replacement would mean a full repaint and decals would be required. This would destroy the patina of the frame forever. It was felt that there was nothing to lose by giving it a go, and after testing it and as it sits at the moment you could hang an elephant from the rear triangle.
Now the frame is strong and only touching up of the frame is required.
