97' Proflex 857

£30 for a rebuild? hmmm might be worthwhile getting the Noleen NR2 rebuilt at some point then.
But for now I've fitted a Fox Float shock using an adapter that someone on the idriders Proflex forum had machined... :D

It's a bit lighter, but much smoother as well.

Does that machined block for the rear suspension match the cone on the inside of the seat stays bar where it fits the standard shock?

Yes it does, it's nicely made to sit in the conical shaped part of the seat stays and uses the original bolt to secure it in position.
