My then girlfriend/now wife had a '89 Bear Valley, but a 15" frame - the one with the 'U-Brake' under the chainstays
She had it for about 15 months, then a friend swapped it for his 'Aluminium O'!
He still has it as a 'winter bike', but now with cantilevers on the seat-stays, mudguards, slicks & resprayed
